Family Coaching

Private Parent Coaching

Parent coaching is a collaborative process between the parent and the coach where the parent’s goals are brought to light and then steps are created with each session to help the parent connect with those goals. This process can help parents to deepen their relationship with their children and end common battles such as power struggles, how to become a more approachable parent and more. We also help with teaching life skills so that your children can handle situations as they grow up. Our coaching can reduce your anxiety, stress, as well as helping you find more happiness in your role as a parent. Through our guidance, your  relationship and connection with your kids will help ensure that they go to you first, before making poor choices, or when they need support to heal from poor choices they’ve already made. Together, we will end your challenges, clearly communicate your goals, and establish strategies with a plan of action. Still not convinced? Try a FREE 30-minute call with Coach Red to learn more. I’m Rochelle Strauss & I raised teenagers.

Being a parent is the thing that I am most proud of. My life would not be complete if my daughters were not in it. I lived the life of a housewife while in an affluent suburb of Toronto. I had a beautiful house, two daughters, and a functional alcoholic for a husband. I didn’t have a lot of input from their father on parenting. I was stressed and yelled a lot of the time. We divorced when my daughters were 8 and 11. I learned how to keep connected with my children during and after the divorce process. They often tried to work one parent against the other. I learned how to co-parent effectively while their father was becoming sober (after he became sober, too). Both my children tested me when they were teenagers by making poor choices that had consequences that I couldn’t control. That’s when I started learning about parenting and behavior modification. I felt like I was alone, but I wasn’t. And neither are you.

Because I laid the foundation of unconditional love and acceptance…free of judgment, they told me everything. My children are now grown women. They have honest conversations with me. They set boundaries with me and others in their lives. They have solid life skills to use in the world.

Let’s work together to guide you in your process of parenting. Let’s figure out your goals and how to get there effectively. Remember, you are not alone in this process and I look forward to helping bring peace to your family.

We are all in this together.

It’s comforting to have help along the way from a Coach who understands and cares.

What can I expect on a Assessment CALL?

The call lasts 15 minutes. Coach Red and you will discuss your specific family dynamic. How many children you have, personalities of everyone in the home, etc. Then, we get personal. Coach Red RochelleStrauss will give you actionable steps that will help you make some changes right away in the direction of the peace you are looking for.

How soon will I see results?

Every family is different. Remember that you have been doing your family “dance” for a long time. Be patient with yourself. It takes 21 days to form a new habit. Then takes 90 days for the new habit to just become a part of your life. This is according to Dr. Maxwell Maltz who wrote “Psycho Cybernetics,” A New Way To Get More Living Out of Life

What kind of results can I expect?

In our virtual coaching sessions, we will build your goals and breakdown strategies to achieve them! As a coach, I am your partner and accountability partner. I want what you want.

What does a typical coaching call look like?

There is no typical call! Each call is catered to the client’s individual needs. We will develop a plan together. If you do the homework, your home will be a place of unconditional love and peace.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

In therapy, the client looks back at their childhood and delves deep into what happened, who you are and how you formed who you are. Coaching uses strategies to move forward and create the life you want. A coach can help you see things from different angles. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, they go hand in hand.
